เมื่อวันที่ 9 กันยายน 2561 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบี ได้ร่วมจัดงานเทศกาลอาเซียน (ASEAN Festival) ครั้งที่ 3 ณ ศูนย์การค้า Rosslyn Riviera ร่วมกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตประเทศอาเซียน ณ กรุงไนโรบี ได้แก่ อินโดนีเซีย มาเลเซีย และฟิลิปปินส์ และได้รับเกียรติจากนาง Diana Kiambuthi ตำแหน่ง ผู้อำนวยการด้านการทูตวัฒนธรรมของกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเคนยาเข้าร่วมกล่าวเปิดงานด้วย เทศกาลดังกล่าวเป็นงานแสดงศิลปะวัฒนธรรม และจำหน่ายอาหารและสินค้าพื้นเมืองของประเทศอาเซียนเพื่อเผยแพร่ประชาคมอาเซียนให้เป็นที่รู้จักของสาธารณชนเคนยาและคณะทูตานุทูตในกรุงไนโรบี ซึ่งในปีนี้ประเทศไทยได้ส่งการแสดงรำกลองยาว แฟชั่นโชว์ชุดไทยสี่ภาค และสาธิตการประกอบอาหารด้วย อนึ่ง รายได้จากการจัดงานครั้งนี้ คณะกรรมการอาเซียน ณ กรุงไนโรบีจะมอบให้องค์กรการกุศลของเคนยาต่อไป ในการนี้ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ขอขอบคุณชุมชนคนไทยที่มีส่วนร่วมในการจัดงานดังกล่าวให้สำเร็จด้วยดีมา ณ ที่นี่ด้วย

          On 9 September 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy, in cooperation with other ASEAN diplomatic missions in Nairobi, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, organized the 3rd ASEAN Festival at Rosslyn Rivera Mall. The festival was honoured by the presence of Ms. Diana Kiambuthi, Director of Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kenya, who also kindly delivered the opening remarks. The ASEAN Festival is a showcase of cultural performances as well as sales of food and crafts from the ASEAN countries in Nairobi, with a view to raising awareness of the ASEAN Community among the Kenyan public and members of the diplomatic corps in Nairobi. This year Thailand presented Ram Kong Yao (Long Drum Dance) and fashion show from 4 regions of Thailand as well as Thai cooking demonstration. The proceedings from the festival will be donated to a Kenyan charity by the ASEAN Nairobi Committee. On this occasion, the Royal Thai Embassy would also like to thank members of the Thai community in Kenya for their active participation and continued support.
